I just recently bought myself this Axim30 but having problems connecting to the internet. is there a step by step guide on how to connect? the manual doesnt really say how to or i just dont understand. I tried calling dell tech support but it takes so long for them to answer.

Please be more specific... Are you trying to connect over Bluetooth to a desktop, over Bluetooth via GPRS, via Activesync or Wireless LAN?

I'm trying to connect via Activesync and also wireless LAN... I'm not at all familiar with computers but I do know just a litlle bit. Here's my story... I bought this Axim 30 on ebay as a christmas present for my wife and from the person i got it from says that it should just connect to the iternet. Well we kept on trying an still cannot connect.

All i want is just to connect to the internet with my Axim30. This is my first time using it. Please help!

The easiest way to connect is by using ActiveSync. The default Activesync configuration will allow this straight away. Simply place the Axim in the cradle, open Pocket Internet Explorer and try browsing a website.

If it doesn't work, you might have to check your firewall settings. Zone Alarm must be set to medium, Norton needs some rules to allow ActiveSync to access the Internet (if blocked), and the Windows XP SP2 firewall may need some configuration.

Also, make sure your ActiveSync options is configured like this:

I really appreciate you helping me though i may be a bit slow... i set my mini pc on the cradle and try to browes a website it says "unable to connect" you have no modem entries created and no network card present. Also on my desktop PC when i try to open active sync it says "not connected". How do I check my firewall settings and for your info i'm using windows XP. Thanks
