Hi
We use iPASS to provide global internet access and they have a client that goes on PDAs. The client works fine and I can connect to the internet using it (I can ping various internet sites). However if I open Internet Explorer it says it cannot connect and prompts me to change my connection settings - how can I get IE to recognise the open connection that is already there?

thanks

Adam

Adam, there are a couple of configuration files that sometimes are deleted by mistake - they're in the root folder on a Pocket PC.

Try running a program called welcome.exe from the windows folder in the Pocket PC.

If this doesn't work, change the connection settings all to be Work, and create a dial up configuration there.

No luck running Welcome.exe The problem with creating a normal connection is twofold:

1 - The iPass client has numbers for locations all over the world. If I want to connect somewhere I would first have to look up the number in the iPass client and then copy that number to the connection setting.

2 - The iPass login seems to send the login name or password in a slightly unusual manner so currently I have not been able to get a normal connection to work.

If you have any more ideas about why Pocket IE is not picking up the open connection it would be appreciated.

regards

Adam
