when attempting to back-up my ipaq to the ipaq file storage card it says there was not enough room, so i went to the memory manager and it said the ipaq file storage card wasn't fitted!!?? so i tried doing a soft reset, when the device tried to "boot up" the blue line went right across the screen and stuck there, I then tried a hard reset and the same has now happened, after i try a hard reset the power will not switch off, i need some help fast please!!!

Doesn't sound good. Perhaps time to take it to service?

Some models didn't come with a iPaq File Store, the 1930 and 1940 I think.
Something to do with ROM size. These two have a 32MB ROM possibly.
The iPaq File Store is either non-existant on some of the entry level models or very small.

Either way, SD memory cards are dirt chip these days and well worth investing in. You can add 512MB for round $100 or 128 for 50. Check out www.flashcards.co.nz if you're in the NZ
