I'm interested in a P800 but my work PC runs on NT4. Does anyone know if there is another syncing mechanism besides the USB cradle or if there is a way to connect a USB cradle to a NT4 machine?

Hi,

I've also got a P800 and have to use NT4 (service pack 6a) at work (btw I also do Ceroc in Wellington).

I've got hold of a Serial cable that nicely plugs into my computer and my P800.

However, I've now found the catch that the Sony-Ericsson P800 "PC Suite" won't install on an NT4 computer.

Does anyone have a way to install the PC Suite on an NT4 computer?

It looks like the USB / Serial physical plug problem is not the issue.

Cheers,
Stirling

I have problem with geting my P800 to connect to my PC to be able to sync with e.g. MS Outlook. I've tried different things without luck:

1. I've downloaded the latest version of PC Suite 3.0.0 for P800/P900 from Sony Ericsson.
2. I've enabled the USB to COM5 in Phone Conncetion Link.
3. I've enabled the same COM 5 port in Phone Monitor Options (in Control Panel).
4. I've uninstalled my Personal Firewall during the installation of PC Suite 3.0.0.
5. I've uninstalled any other USB devices like iPod/Palm

But still the PC can't connect my P800.

Could someone please help.

Thanks
