Does anyone know if this can be done, I certainly have struggled to find the option which indicates it can't be done easily.

Help :)

http://www.shubaroo.com/index.php?module=group_sms is another option

What I do though is create a new txt, add all the people you want in the group to "To:" and then save the message to Drafts. So to send a text to a group, all I have to do is go to Drafts and select the proper txt :)

It's in the Outlook contacts options. You can create groups of contacts and tag them under the "company" option in each contact. eg Family, Workmates, Friends.

So when you go to prepare a text, you can filter by company and then send a text to everyone in that company easily..
