I have a toshiba S901 with built in bluetooth. I also have a IPAQ 3975. I ran the bluetooth manager and the laptop found the mobile device as well as the other way around. The only thing that I cant figure out is why the ipaq is not recognizing the laptop. All I get is a ? and it doesn't let me check "activesync partner" I tried looking all over on how to classify a device, but I could not find anything. When I look in my Ipaq under the laptop it reads "unclassified device" ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kegrun

How the Pocket PC identifies your laptop depends on the laptop configuration. You should be able to specify tpye (laptop/desktop) on your Bluetooth configuration. Also, to be an ActiveSync partner, the laptop should offer a Serial Port connection and be either laptop or desktop type.

Check you Toshiba configuration, because the 3975 should be fine.h

Thats the whole problem. I don't know how to do that. I keep trying to change the device class but the box is grayed out so you cant change it. I have even tried to remove the bluetooth stack and reinstall it, to no avail. If someone knows how to change the device class PLEASE tell me....this is getting sooooo frustrating.
