Does the 6620 work in NZ? I'd rather get that than a 6630 or 6680 because of the joystick, its so much easier to use.
anyway I've got a 6600 now, but I just want a small upgrade and the 6620 is just right, but does it work in this country? I heard it only works in north america?

btw is 6680 a 3g phone?

The Nokia 6620 will not work here - it's a 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE. Vodafone does not offer EDGE and it operatres in the 900 MHz band.

The Nokia 6680 is UMTS/EDGE compatible (WCDMA 2100), and GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900 MHz).

It will work in NZ but only in main centres where 1800mhz sites are

There are lots of 1800 mhz sites around NZ they also move GPRS traffic, That nokia handset if used in Auckland city would work on 1800mhz, Not good if he moves out into the country. Turn on the network moniter in your handset and you will see where 1800 coverage is.

We have them in Palmerston North, I think. Never been successful using GPRS on it though, although I think this is a phone issue (flat mates phone, strange Chinese model (would have thought it was a 900mhz band phone :( )).
