I am setting up a friends BB world edition so it will sync by bluetooth her outlook data.
I get the BB to search it finds her laptop ok then moves on to ask for a passkey.
Does XP generate a passkey ?  I cant find anything that will popup this info or do i just make a number up or something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It depends on the software on the XP side, but most of the times you judt enter one on the phone and then a simila request will pop up on the PC side, where you enter the same.

Thatt's the thing... Some PC software will have a static key (that you configured when installing the software) or dynamic (that you can enter each time you add a new device).

I suggest you do a search FROM your laptop, and when asked for a PIN then enter your own. You will then enter this again on the BlackBerry.
