I have an ipaq rx3115. I am attempting to access the internet via a Motorolav551. The two devices are paired and recognize each other. Keep getting the error message "no modem detected". Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you using infrared or Bluetooth?

Also, are you sure you have a GPRS service on your account, or are your trying to dial a standard ISP number? In this case you need a data service.

It also could help if you tell us what mobile operator you're using.

I have Cingular service and according to them all should be a go on their side. I am attempting to connect via Bluetooth.

Check that you're using the correct username and password. Also, in the init string use Z; or add Z; to the beginning of whatever you're already using there.

Search this forum for GPRS settings on Cingular, this problem has been reported and a solution has been reported before.
