I am trying to connect my HP 4150 PDA to the internet using the modem on my Sony-Ericsson K700i phone. The bluetooth connection is working fine. It just doesn't dial the number using the dial-up networking tool. Does anyone have any advice or have a solution to this very frustrating issue.
Follow this guide. All new Sony Ericsson phones require a reset before being used, so make sure to add Z; to the start of your init string - if not using a init string enter Z; in the init string field on your Pocket PC.
Make sure you're using the correct username/password for your GPRS provider (Vodafone does not use one), and the number in the dial location is correctly configured for your phone. *99# should be the default, unless your phone is configured with more than one connection, in which case you should use *99***[x]# where [x] is the configuration number.
In some cases you might need to add the CGDCONT string - check the guide for instructions. You'll need to know your provider's APN to enter in this string.
