Dear Sir,

Recently I have Bought a KROME IQ-700 smartphone in India. This is similar to I mate SP3. I need a clarification regarding the bluetooth feature of the phone.
I have a pocket pc HP1940 POCKET PC.This also has bluetooth
capability. Now I want to set up so that I can browse internet on the
pocket pc via bluetooth using the IQ-700 phone. Both the devices are able
to see each other. When I doubleclick the dialup connection on pocket pc
I can see it is dialing the phone no(i.e. *99***1# ).but no furthur. After
sometime error msg says not able to connect to bluetooth modem. Also I donot
get any authorisation request on the phone.

Pl tell me what I am doing wrong. Is it possible at all to use IQ-700
phone with a pocket PC like HP1940.
Also in the phone Start--accessories----modem link page I get only USB or IRcom.
I donot see bluetooth link here even after making the bluetooth setting to Roverable.

Pl help with suggestions
Jayakumar

Please follow this guide to configure the Pocket PC.

Your Windows Mobile Smartphone should work just fine for Internet access via Bluetooth. However, you must check with your operator that your account is able to access the Internet.

Also, check with the operator's help desk what's the APN name, user name and password you should be using. On your Pocket PC you can enter a Init String like +CGDCONT=1,,"[APN]" where you will replace [APN] with the name your operator informed you (keeping the " ").
