a friend sent a ringtone from his nokia communicator via email to me. How can i transfer it to my imate? Thanks

You can open ActiveSync and click Explore. Then copy the file to \Windows on your Pocket PC. You can then select the sound file once it's in the Pocket PC.

Thanks have done that, but when you say "select the sound file once it gets to yur ppc" what do you mean? I need an idiot proff guide please

Tap the Start | Settings and select the Sounds and Notifications icon. There you will see a list of events and the field where you can select the sounds to play.

Thanks, but i still don't get it. i have gone to sounds and notifications and i don't see that ringtone anywhere. this i what i did under evet i chose phone: incoming call. ring type: ring and ring tone: i could not find that ringtone. Is this process correct

What kind of file is this? Is it wave, midi, mp3? I will have to test.

the file extension is .amr. it came from the new nokia communicator

.amr files are not supported... There are programs that can convert amr to wave or mp3.
