I am trying to get my pc working with a Nokia 3650 and an IPAQ 3870 simultaeously... The problem is with the serial port I set up for the 3650. When I try to use it it seems to be trying to use the activesync service, no matter what I set the com ports on. Very annoying. All else seems to work.. I can send data files to and from all devices and fax modem and data modem work nicely. I would like to be able to run the Nokia application though to load stuff like opera and tiny gps on the phone. Not to mention my 500 user contact list.

I am using the Billionton Software, 1.3.2.7 on a billionton bluetooth usb, cambridge silicon radio, version 525 , hci and lmp 1.1 lmp sub version 020D.

Windows 2000 Professional, security patches.

Compaq ipaq h3800 - rom 2.20.21 btooth mod bc-01 radio rev 1

Any help would be delightful... Should I try to do the new widcomm version?

You'll probably have to create another COM port in the service tab - and set that on the ActiveSync configuration. Then connect the 3650 (it'll "ring back" your computer and connect to the first COM port).

Then from your IPAQ try doing a manual connect to the COM port you've just created. After this it'll "remember" to use this port in the future. Disconnect, set the Activesync partner box, and try starting the ActiveSync from your Pocket PC, the way you're used to.

You sir, are a god of bluetooth. After a day of installing and uninstalling bluetooth I have successfully got both devices working. I aldo needed to use a hint that you posted on another forum.....

I quote

Yes... You're using an ipaq H3970, and the Bluetooth version on this Pocket
PC does not like servers with more than 7 services. On your computer,
disable the services you'll not use (like headset, gateway, etc) until you
have 7 or less.

Make sure your ActiveSync is pointing to COM5. And try again!

...which was spooky... And I was there. Thank you much.
