Anyone know how to get the mpx220 and ipaq 2210 to link via bluetooth to access the internet on the ipaq by using the mpx220 as a gprs modem.

Got it all to work over infra red.
Have paired the devices successfully.

I just can't get the bluetooth modem to work to get my Tom Tom Traffic trial to work unless I hold the phone alongside.

I am using Vodafone Ireland and have got all the carrier settings, initialisation string etc..

Am I wasting my time?
Can the ipaq2210 handle multiple bluetooth connections?

Have a look in our Bluetooth Guides, this one in special. The software will work with multiple Bluetooth connections.

I have tried this and get the pairing fine, the ipaq connects via bluetooth and then loses the connection so the usual error message comes up on the ipaq. The problem is the windows software is different to the (reliable) one shown in your guide.

1. Do I have to set up the bond via the BT SerialPortSetup on the mpx220?
2. Do I set up and activate Modem Link to connect via USB or InfraRed (the only options)?
3. Do I need to specify COM Port 6 on my Ipaq to match my question 1?
4. There is no Authorised connection option in the mpx220 bluetooth area

If you can can you try and post a guide using this phone because it is tricky, even though some sites' have users that reckon they can get it to work.

Appreciate your help, enjoy the rugby.
