Help Recently I brought the a program called Swelldisk from Handango the advertizment stated that it was soppoused to increase your memory by three hunderd percent so I took it to mean that it would compress the programs into smaller bits so that you could add more softwear. when I first got the program I was soppouse to send the the product # and the Orginal Registration which I did or atleast i thought I did but i accidentlly left off the first # of the product code so when I recived the Regkey It didn't unlock the program properly atleast I don't think it did any I contact the developer and Handango serveal asking a simple question the question my system said I have used 931 MB of memory and have 1990.MB of free memory if this is infact true why is it that it will not let me add anymore programs and also leaving off the first # of the product code would make the regkey key they sent me invalid I have wrote to them every day for a month and can't seem to get any help from the developer or handango on this matter, has anyone else brought the programs and thought like I did that it was soppoused to give you more room on your memory card to add more programs or am I wrong. also someone told me on this site that if you fat32 your files even if you have lots of memory it will only allow you to have so many files on the program i also ask Swelldisk about this and they chose not to answer my question about what the programs was soppouse to do and if the regkey I got was not the right one and How I could tell if the program was registered Please help me with these questions.

Lynn, this was discussed before, but I will extend the answer...

All memoy cards are formatted for use, like a floppy disk would be. An old format is called FAT. One of the limits of this format is that one can only place a specific maximum number of files on the root folder (\). The next format was FAT32 which increased this limit.

If you card is currently formatted in FAT then you can only put a certain number of files on the root folder, regardless of how much space is left on the card and regardless of any software to compress the space. The easiest thing to do is to create folders (also called directories) and store the files there.

The best option is to download a program like Pocket Mechanic and check what's the format on this card. If needed reformat the card using FAT32 - meaning eveything will be erased so make sure you havea backup of user files, and program ready to reinstall after that.

Even so, it is still important to keep files in folders and organised to reduce clutter.

Regarding the problems with registration: are you sure you are sending the e-mails to the correct support address for this developer?
