Could anyone please help me?

I keep getting the follwoing error message when I start ActiveSync (3.8):

"WCESMgr.exe-Application Error"
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."

The only way to get ActiveSync to launch is to restart the computer. Sometimes it launches and sometime that message is displayed... It happened with earlier versions of ActiveSync as well.

My OS is Windows 2000 professional.

Could anyone give me any advice on this issue?

Thanks!

Perhaps it is configured to use an invalid (or inexistent) Serial Port? Or perhaps it's a memory (hardware) problem on your computer? Or it could be a fault in the USB port (if it is selected on ActiveSync connection settings)?
