Hi all,

i am curious to know if anyone can please help me. I have a tungsten E and the device will not respond. I did both a soft reset as well as a hard reset. the hard reset worked but the buttons and the stylus touch screen does not respond. any insight will be greatly appreciated.

If you have a screen protector, remove it and see if the palm will detect your taps. If not, try to run a piece of paper along the side of the glass screen where the glass meets the casing to hopefully dislodge any debris, dust that may be stuck in between. Most likely, something is touching the screen and that's why the palm isn't detecting your taps, since it's still detecting something else. Sometimes the glass is feeling some extra pressure on one end or edge so lightly pressing along the glass (make sure to not crush the glass display since it's very fragile).

Lastly, try using something like DigiFix and see if it works.

try a system reset - hold down the up key on the directional pad and press reset, don't release the up key until the grey palm powered logo comes on. This is like a "safe mode" in case it is a piece of software that is causing the problem. Though you have done a hard reset alreayd so it may mean it is a hardware failure and is the end of its life. :-(
