Perhaps look for another program that could use a proxy server on port 80?

But if your network admin has blocked IM then it's safe to believe there's an Internet usage policy in place, and any use of such programs could cause problems for you?

First, learn how to use punctuations appropriately. It was kinda hard for me to read your first post without knowing where/when you pause (comma) or stop (fullstop).

C'mon Chiefie, don't be mean...

Hmmm. I don't know of other programs. Have a look on the Geekzone Software Store - most IM clients are not free, and some have lots of configurations. I use the standard MSN Messenger on my Pocket PC and Smartphone, since I usually connect from home or GSM/CMDA.

hehe sorry... I just felt that many of the younger generation are getting worse and worse with spelling and forming sentences. And it irritate me when reading their posts and trying to decipher a cryptic message!

I agree to chiefie things are gettin worserer an worserer an evryone needs to learn speaking an writing good england.

I couldnt find any software to do what you are asking, but perhaps there might be a different IM client that could be used? Just being a student doesnt relinquish you of any responsibility to stick to the terms of use of the network you are on. You could find yourself suspended or expelled or otherwise disciplined for breaching rules?
