Using VB.Net for CF I'd like to be able to send a request/command etc to a Windows Mobile 2003/5.0 Pocket PC - kind if like an alert or notification.

Can this be done? Where do I start?

Can you clarify this for me? Do you want to send from one device to another or from a desktop computer to the device?

Device to device using sms is possible on Windows Mobile 5 and the .Net CF - but not using WM2003 or SE.

You might want to check OpenNetCF.org though - they might have something for WM2003
