I've taken the plunge and purchased an HTC Snap. I have five more days to decide whether I want to keep it, as long as I don't charge it. I have only little bit of juice left and have found what could be a deal-breaker:
The phone is using the contacts I have on the sim card. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to be able to search for contacts by typing in part of (not necessarily the beginning) of the contact name. ie If I want to find "Joe Smith", when I type "smi", it doesn't find that contact, only others in the list beginning with Smith.
I assume that the work around is to import the contacts into the phone (I don't have Outlook installed, only Thunderbird) with the contact names preordered into fields that the HTC can understand.
My question is:
If the contacts are saved correctly onto the phone, can I search for a contact using any part of the contact name, or do I have to remember the beginning of the contact name in order to find it?
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
