Is anyone else surprised by HP's decision to discontinue Mobile Printing? Their current offering is not compatible with Windows Mobile 5. Yes, there are alternatives as they mention on their site, but that puts developers in quite a bind for Windows Mobile 5.
Welcome to Geekzone... I think they thought of the investment required to make their free solution available for a new OS version and their business directions - and found out there are some (not free, but cheap) options available, therefore not making much sense investing on a product that the developer community can offer.
Yes, I believe you are correct. However, the other companies have limited Windows Mobile 5 compatibility and state on their website that they have no plans to add the new required functionality. This in effect is eliminating higher level funtionality (like handling .rtf or .pwd files). I'm hoping the websites are not up to date, and that someone will continue that functionality.
