Welcome to Geekzone. Are you able to check that your Pocket PC is actually connected to the access point?

You should download and install the VxUtil and use its Info option to show what's the configuration on your Pocket PC after you connect to the access point.

Then you can use it to PING a website such as www.wired.com. If you get a response then you can try a trick to recreate a couple of configuration files you need on your Pocket PC: open File Explorer, browse to \Windows and tap on welcome.exe. After running the program sof reset the unit and try again.

If you can't ping any server, then you will have to check if you have any security set on your access point, make sure you entered the correct key on the Pocket PC, make sure there's no MAC address filtering, check that your access point can work with 802.11b (sometimes it may be configured to 802.11g only) and check that "Boost" mode is off.

Also, make sure you have the latest ROM update or patches for your rx3115.

Lots of things to check...

OK I have been able to verify that the access point is assigneing the ipaq a valid ip address and it recognizes the ipaq, also mac filtering is off and unit does support 802.11b. The folks who supply my dsl have suggested because all this is true andI get the messge: "the page you are looking for cannot be found" when I try to go anywhere on the web, that there might be some security setings on the ipaq I need to change.

What's the IP address? Is it in the range your access point DHCP is assigning?

Also, try pinging ww.wired.com (209.202.230.60) because I know it will respond (some servers block ping responses).

Can you ping other computers on your own LAN?

Using VxUtil info, is the gateway your access point? Is the DNS the one from your ISP?

And try that tip for the welcome.exe - if you manage to ping any host outside your own network.
