I understand from the documentation that I can synch my IPAQ 6135 with my laptop using a WiFi connection, but I can't seem to find documentation to walk me through the connection. I have the IPAQ connected to my router and can access the internet. I can sync using the USB cable without problems.

But how do I get it to sync via WiFi connection? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

are you using activesync 4.x? if so, there is no WiFi sync on ActiveSync 4.x, and HP6315 is officially supported by ActiveSync 3.8 (which has Wifi/Lan Sync)...

Am using 3.8. I saw that 4.x lost the capability so I didn't install it.

it should be in the connection settings. make sure the firewall settings on the host pc is not blocking it. and also make sure both host pc and ppc device are within the same ip range.

and in some occassion (if ppc has static ip, you might need to create a host file to store the host pc's netbios name and ip address so the ppc activesync will be able to find the host.

i think Geekzone has a tutorial guide on this.. not too sure. it has been a long time since i last use lan sync, and ever since i have updated to 4.x (although i still have WM2003 devices)...

hehe..

I just downloaded vxUtil and am now trying to figure out exactly what I can do with it. But IP's are in the same range, I can ping the ppc. PPC shows ireless adaptor connected with a similar (but different) IP address. The AsyncMac NDISWAN Minport doesn't show any connection. Should it?

When I take the ppc out of the cradle it shows as Not Connected. When I try to connect, it searches but can't find the device.

Was looking for the tutorial but didn't find it. Any other ideas?
