Hi guys,

Sorry im new to forum, dunno if this is in correct section.

I just got a iPaq RX3417 with Windows Mobile 2003 Pro SE and i was wondering is there some sort of add-on that will allow me to use it as mobile phone? I think ive seen them for other pdas but i really cant remember. If anyone can help me that would be great. Thankyou

Matt

Welcome to Geekzone... There are a couple of GSM Compact Flash cards, but I am pretty sure the rx3417 uses SD cards only. If this is the case and if you want to have a single device then your best option would be a different model - either the HP Mobile Messenger series, or some of the i-mate devices.

There are a few SMS software around, but they will probably work only if your mobile is an old Ericsson (T39m, t68i) or Nokia. And they will go through the batteries quite fast. A remember using SimpleSMS a few years ago.

Try looking through the SMS programs for Pocket PC search in our Software Store.

Hmmm. Not sure you might want to have a look on Vito dialer. I haven't used these myself because I use a Pocket PC Phone Edition.

As for the discount, the 15% discount code expires at the end of this month (Dec'05). It can only be used once per user, so you might want to check other software you need and get the discount for that too in a single purchase.
