I have this problem with my Nokia 5800 when it comes to downloading emails, for some reason it no longer downloads new emails. Everytime I clear the email account, it just downloads last weeks and not new ones. Any ideas how to fix? I have looked all through the phone for a setting but cant find one, and done a hard reset. I'm using both Vodafones Broadband Lite and my home Wi-Fi network to try and retrieve new emails if thats any help.

What kind of email are you using? POP/IMAP or Exchange?

If POP/IMAP are you using Nokia Messaging or have you configured your inbox manually?

POP/IMAP and trying to retrieve from Gmail. The phone did all the settings automatically apart from username and password obviously. Was working fine until now

You can't be using pop & imap at the same time on the same email address on the same client on the same device

Break it down for us pop or imap

Is the handset software / firmware up to date?
