hello,

can anyone tell me how i can get my pocket pc 2003 pro iPAQ RX3417 to alert me when it receives new emails? cause atm it does nothing and only shows in today screen! I have looked through sounds and notifications etc but found nothing. Thanx!

Tap Start | Settings | Sounds and Notifications. Then change to the Notifications tab and on the Event list select Messaging: New e-mail message.

You can change the options to play a sound when new e-mail arrives, display a message on the screen (in a notification bubble and as a small envelope on the top bar), flash the LED or vibrate...

thanx, yeah i figured it out anyway, but another Q, i have some better sounding sounds i want to use for a few things so i tried copying them into the windows directory but they dont show up wen u go to select a sound and u cant browse to find custom ones? Any ideas?

It should list the sound files if you place them in \Windows\Rings...
