Hello everyone. I bought an iPaq H4150 on ebay. Got it today. Did the ROM update and WLAN updates.
I tried to find my wifi at work and I have no window or anything that shows connections. I've been digging around and I feel like Im missing something. I hit the icon on the top bar and go into settings, then the advanced tab, Network card. From there I see people saying click on the wireless tab but I have no wireless tab...
All i get under Network card is a drop down box for "The Internet" and "Work". Below that is a listing of adapters. I have:
L2TP NDISWAN Miniport
AsyncMac NDISWAN Miniport
PPTP NDISWAN miniport
iPaq WLAN Wireless Adapter
Bluetoth PAN User Driver

I click on iPaq WLAN and it goes to a screen with [] Use server-assigned IP or [] Use specific IP

I checked that my router is transmitting "b" and it is. No MAC filter. Doesnt have any of the turbo stuff.
Im just confused cause I cant even find a screen for seeing availible networks.

Tried at work and at home and cant find any wireless networks. Any help would be great. I really wanna use this for internet.

No, it's not possible to uninstall the WiFi. ou could try changing the wireless channels on your wireless access point. And make sure it's broadcasting its SSID.

SSID is broadcasting. Havent tried channels. I just know every other device I have ever connected worked fine. My DS, my zune both connect no problem.

Any idea about the not having a Wireless tab?
I have the book for the PDA and it says you go to the connections on the top bar.
Connections>Settings>Advanced>Network Card> then it says Wireless tab. I dont have that!

It sounds like the wireless drivers are not loading. Have you done a hard reset since receiving the device?

Is this an original ROM or an updated ROM? What OS version is it running? I am asking because some of the first pirated ROMs didn't have the WiFi stack in them...

LEAP is probably referring to this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leap_Wireless

So no, not of any use to get the local Wifi running.

Is there a way to view drivers like in Windows XP?

I had difficulty finding it at first, but eventually I did - it should be there. I'd imagine a 4150 is pretty similar to a 4350, which is what I have. :)
