Hi - Seems like Vodafone in NZ are limiting Web Access from Blackberry. I can get Vodafone Live - why would you bother - but cant get BBC.co.uk??

Are there any ways around this? If not looks like I will be sending the device back.

Thanks

Are you using the Enterprise or the Internet edition? I think the Enterprise uses a proxy server, while the Internet edition doesn't have access to this feature. I noticed this a couple of years ago when testing their first Blackberry released here in New Zealand.

Hi - I am using Internet Edition - I am a one man business and cant justify the Enterprise option - also it doesn’t run on a Mac. I do wish Vodafone were a little more obvious in their advertising.... Grrr.

Thanks

Larry

Worth a try, but I am afraid it may not help, unless things have changed. When I got the Blackberry 7230 (?) I had a long discussion (over coffee of course) with someone at Vodafone about this, and we tried lots of tricks during that chat...

If you are not that hooked on your Crackberry try a Treo - this will work on a Mac and access the Internet no problem at all.
