Ok, newbie mistake. I purchased a "new" Sprint PCS Smart Device PPC-6700 the other day with out checking on the ESN. When I go to the Sprint store to activate it, they say that they cannot activate. When I asked if the phone was stolen, she said that it was "suspicious" and would not go into any other detail.

Anyone have suggestions on where I go from here? Is there any kind of work around or MOD that I can do with the ESN?

Have a purchased a $300 PDA/camera and not a phone?

There is nothing you can do to the ESN. They will either connect it, or they wont.
Try calling the carrier directly and see what they can do about connecting it.
