hi i have just brought a htc hd mini and am now trying to upgrade the operating system on it to windows mobile 6.1 or 6.5 but i can't find it anywhere or instructions on how to do it? i've noticed that it's shipped with the latter versions of wm on it so i must be able to do it some how right?

Usually only 1 version is released for a specific phone, because the OS has to be recompiled for the specific hardware.

There are web sites where people upload hacked firmware and newer versions. Probably the most common would be light versions where extras are deleted to save memory. Can't remember the web site now, but it is out there.

5.2.23103 is actually a build of Windows Mobile 6.5(.x), not Windows Mobile 5, so a WM6/6.1/6.5 ROM would actually be a downgrade as the HD Mini already has a more recent version of the OS. As above, I'd recommend having a browse around XDA-Developers. :)

yeah thanks, i actually found that out on that site after a good read. i just figured it would of said 6.5 build ..... on my phone, but i guess that's too simple ;) thanks for the help though guys
