It seems New Zealand has been confirmed to be the first country to have Windows Phone 7 available for sale, with Vodafone making the HTC Trophy available for purchase online from 21st October 12:01am.

Vodafone will show off the new handset and Windows Phone 7 by parking its thirty two tonnes Mobile Showroom truck at Auckland’s Aotea Square at 7am on Thursday morning.

Phones will be on sale from 8am on the spot and Vodafone and Microsoft experts will be on-hand to demo the latest apps and chat through pricing plans.

The phones will also be available in selected Vodafone stores from midday on Thursday 21st October.

I take it this means they're having a roadshow which starts and ends at Aotea Square on the same day?

21st October 7am, Apple is holding "Back to the Mac" event... I wonder how many people will give much attention to Vodafone NZ's Windows Phone 7 launch??

I saw their mobile showroom at the fieldays, very impressive.  I also believe one of the GZers on here was involved in painting/branding of said truck.

Possibly the same issue with chris021's coverage downtown - the cellsite is upside down?

I'm not seeing any where on that site to buy the phone or how much it costs. Nice

*sigh*

Use that thing called "mouse", on the left side click "HTC" and then find "New Releases"... The phone is there...

Yeah still a pretty poor effort from Vodafone.  I was at least expecting a banner to go alongside the iPhone 4 one.
