Hi All,

Got a T3 and am trying to connect via Bluetooth to ADSL internet connection via PC/laptop. Went through the setup guide, but I'm a little confused.

Using WinXP and Billionton BT USB adapter. Billion 741GEV2 modem with firewall and MAC filtering enabled (the MAC address of the BT adapter is entered in the filtering table).

The LAN connection is shared and the BT adapter in the PC set to 192.168.0.1, DNS to 192.168.1.254. With the suggested script, the connection is made, but there is no ping and there is a DNS error when I try to browse the web.

The HotSync works via BT, and I can browse/email via BT and GPRS on SE T610.

Any suggestions please?

Are you able to ping using an IP address?

If yes, then your problem is just DNS configuration. You might want to check that the DNS you have on the BT adapter is the current one for your machine. Try running IPCONFIG /ALL from a command line prompt to check.

Thanks for replying

ipconfig gives me all the right addresses, but dhcp is not enabled. Is this OK?

VersaMail now works, but web browsing doesnt. I am soooo close!

I know the browser works from via GPRS.

I will keep trying.

If VersaMail is working, it can be a problem with your browser then. Are you using the Web Pro with this patch released by PalmOne or the original one?

OK, I'm pushing the envelope here.

I want to connect my T3 via Bluetooth to my laptop, and the share the laptop's wireless internet connection to the T3. It works OK when I share the LAN connection direct to the ADSL router (even when the wireless is on, i.e. unlikely to due to BT/802.11b interference), but not when I go via the wireless.

So I bridge the BT and wireless connections on the laptop, and now it all works a treat, with a router assigned IP address for the T3.

But of course now I can't use the cabled LAN connection because the adapter is not setup correctly.

Any ideas as to how I can have my cake (LAN) and eat it too (wireless)?
