Now that WM5 is officially available for Hx4700, would it be wise to get a HZ4700 with WM2003 and get the WM5 upgrade? or wait and see if HP will bring out WM5 version of Hx4700?

What's your view on this? As I really like to get a Pocket PC with VGA and Hx4700, and pair it with BT phone.

(in case you're wondering why not getting JasJar, well it's too bloody expensive, and i still like the idea of having a sleek WM Smartphone and a separate PDA)

I don't think HP will bring an HX4700 with Windows Mobile 5.0 already in place. There are lots of reports of this model being removed from their websites in the USA and Europe, so it's pretty much end of line for this one.

hmmm shame.. guess i will be looking at Dell's 51v?

i have read from some online review that few customers experienced weird problems from Dell's 51v. Do you know of this?

Yes, read about this, but what really is bad is the fact that those devices (hx4700 and Dell Axim) do not have the soft keys. So if a software is completely designed for Windows Mobile 5 and softkey use then you will have to keep tapping or touching the screen to access menu options. A pain.

oh

are they any other major problems with Axim x51v? I saw that last month Geekzone had a discount code for Dell's Axim X51v and dell had 699 sales, which both togethre would be only 679. but i did a quick research and found that many Axim users didn't like X51v and cited that it has problem with WM5 and many revert back to WM2003?

that's my only concern, like what bad experiences? is this fixed, if known? I like the fact that Dell Axim's X51v has vga and 16mb graphic accelerated (is this useful or worthwhile feature to look at when getting a PDA?)

I like to keep with HP as we have a lot of HP accessories, but if migrating over to Dell Axim, would mean another charger to take. I guess the device connection point is different from HP's eh?

Another question.

Does the x51v has a vibration alert? in fact, does any non-phone PocketPC has a vibrating motor for silent/meeting mode?
