I am trying to integrate a Nextel/Motorola PCMCIA modem card on my iPAQ 3955 using elserial.dll card drivers and manually entered the device under hklm\drivers\pcmcia\manufacturer....

Using AT commands, I can connect to the system and can verify that the modem (AT&V) has populated all the ip addresses. I can look at the tcpip registry setting and see that the network parms have been populated (default gateway, dns, ipaddress, subnet mask etc). Using the vxUtil I can see that the PPP adapter is populated so logically I should be able to bring up a web page.... wrong.

I can not connect to a web page and can not ping any sites (with dotted notion or otherwise). I am also unable to make a connection using the setting\configurations setup.

Since I noticed a post about BT having similar difficulties I wondered if anyone else is having these difficulties and how they overcame it.

ADSL modem, connected to a router, my computer is connected to the router and
is useing a STATIC ip, 192.168.0.3 (the router is .1) with GATEWAY on 192.168.0.1, the DNS
entries are 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2, for my ISP's dns.

this works, on my computer.

I follow the guide and activate the internet connection sharing, in that instance the BT network driver (or device, in network connections windows (Win XP)) get 192.168.0.1 as IP.
Well, when i connect the Ipaq H3970 with my computer (got a MSI BT dongle), the "connected" thingy shows up. But now to the problem.

I downloaded and installed those PING programs, and started testing.
Well internet DONT work on the ipaq, even through ipaq bt manager says so, aswell the Bt manager on my computer. (its a newer version on that BT software on the PC then you got in the guides, but it looks 99% the same) I cant se the ipaq on the LAN, neither can i ping it (whats the IP btw it gets? Or do i NEEd to have DHCP on the PC for it to work?) well, anyway, i use the vxUtil to ping and i get no respons from 192.168.0.1 or .3 for that mather.

So what is wrong? I hane tampered around with all the settings in the ipaq (in the "connections" part) chaning all the "automatic" ip's to 192.168.0.7 aswell added Gateway and DNS entries to 192.168.0.1.........

So whats wrong really?

Windows and ipaq says im connected, but it dont work.
