This morning, I do my usual morning surf on the big wave of Internet, and found this from a few PPC sites.

Rumour has it, that Dell is axing Axim (hmm... poor joke?)...

Have a look.

Aximsite, RIP Dell Axim?

PocketPCThoughts, Farewell Dell?

Yes, heard these rumours a couple of weeks ago. Wouldn't surprise me, with the move from PDA to converged devices, mainly Smartphones, happening these days.

If you don't have at least Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a cellular data option (CDMA or GSM) then the product is pretty much going out of the market...

Just as why HP had discontinued HX4700... i think it would be wise for HP to bring out the next VGA converged WM device, perhaps with just as good as HX4700, and yet with GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA. I like the "quanta" HP device, but it's not VGA. Kinda in a dilemma aren't i? LOL

I also wonder, whether there will be a day to see HP bringing out UMPC? think they will probably do pretty well it is too if they do, and make it even more special with Syncing tool, for syncing between main desktop and UMPC. mmmm Outlook syncing? (I'm not too worry with emails as I use IMAP now, poor man's "Exchange" LOL)
