none of my microsoft devices will connect to this (HTC Trophy & Win7) however, iOS does, is there a known compatibility issue with MS products?

I've never had a problem with it and Windows7. Are you using the paid version or free version?

It does create an ad-hoc network, so windows7 will not remember passwords or reconnect automatically - you have to manually connect each time you fire up Joikuspot.

Paid version, with encryption key. Win7 connects but can get no internet access, Trophy can not see it at all.

I have this running on my N8 + Win 7 64. I could not get encrypted to work, so have setup as unsecured. I only enable when needed, so hopefully not too bigger risk of people stealing my 3G broadband :)

I'd suggest getting in touch with the app developer to see what, if any, limitations ther may be.

Initially I couldn't get my 5800XM to connect with my laptop (Win XP using a Linksys WUSBF54G)  with encryption enabled. It worked fine unencrytped.  I followed the instructions in the Joiku .pdf manual.  Eventaully I decided to selected HEX instead of ASCII and I was in business.

Now it connects automatically when ever I have it turned on.  I use the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor to set up the connection and the passwords etc are automatically saved.

Vendor has not contact or help desk. Warning to other users, this software, according to the website only supports S60, so just because a product appears in OVI for you to buy, it does not mean it is actually compatible with your handset. Add that to my list of disappointments.

Nokia N8, awsome camera and hardware, pity the software team went to sleep.

Did you check the Support page ? http://www.joikushop.com/index.php?action=user&mode=support

There is a PDF there specifically for Symbian ^3 (which the N8 has)

Funny that you cannot get help from Joiku.  They responded very quickly and were very helpful when I made contact with them a while back.

I think you are being a bit harsh with your comments when you say Joiku is not compatible with the N8. Joiku show the N8 as a supported model.  I would have thought they would know what phones their software works work with.

Attempt to submit my question and get "Received a invalid response" from the wwebsite, why oh why do they insist on forms and not provide and email address?

"With encryption on (tried both shared and not) can connect and access the internet via a iPod Touch, but not with WP7 (HTC Trophy) nor via Win7 (Sony Vaio X series). The Win7 connects but cannot access the internet where the WP7 does not see the access point at all?"

How did you get them to respond, I've tried to use their form from different machines on different networks and the form fails.

I can connect WinXP and iPod Touch, but not Win7 (32bit).

I used the form off their Support page from memory, it went thru without any problems.  I got a reply from an address called Support@Joikusoft.com

Perhaps try that email address they used to reply to me on.  I emailed them a couple of times regarding my problem on this address after their initial reply to me.

They were very helpful.

I used the email address and they responded over night, once I was able to contact them the problem was resolved quickly, so yes, I do support others in their support of this company, I also advised them of the problem with their website form.

With my Belle upgrade I have to manually turn on Wifi to use Joikuspot (previously it must have turned it on itself), not a big issue, but frustrating if you don't know why it can't connect (it doesn't tell you its an issue with WiFi so I was guessing it was a radio network issue).
