Hi all!

I had spent a lot of time trying to setup my I-mate K-jam to work properly using GPRS over The Windows mobile 5.0. No luck at all. Does anybody here have been facing similar problems? I suppose that GPRS connection should not be throught a bluetooth way in this specific device. It should be directly over the phone feature and GPRS correctly configured. Am I right?

I appreciate any help.

thanks in advance.

Firstly, you should get GPRS connection settings from your GSM operator.  Some of the items are very important while setting up GPRS connection: i.e.: Type of connection, Acess Point Name (APN), username/password, Proxy/port.  Once you do this correctly it should connect without any problem.  Still, if it doesn't work then may be you should take your device to service centres to format.  Earlier JAM had similar problems, sometimes it requires formatting.

Also get latest manuals from clubimate website, which may help you to setup GPRS connection.

Good Luck.

Thanks for your reply...

What happens is that before I put my hando on this device, K-jam, I used to use my V600 with the IPaq 5555 together. Both were working fine over a GPRS connection. So, as I ´m already subscribed to the service, I just got K-jam and tried to setup for. Still doesn´t work. I think that is something related to the WM5.0 and how you correctly setup settings and everything over the GPRS.

Any new idea?

Thanks a lot.

Eduardo, I assume you want to use GPRS directly on your K0Jam, right?

If this is the case you have to create a new connection, make it the default and set your Pocket PC to use this connection for Internet and Work.

Check this thread: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=18&TopicId=6711, replacing the APN with your operator's specific one.
