Have had this issue for a few months now... About 4months. It first started on and off.. i.e. it would start working after a while and then come right... But for the last month and a half I have never been able to get past this message...

Really starting to anny me now... Even considering getting a new phone just so I dont have to put up with Ovi store any longer!!... Really like the phone itself though... Never have a problem with it and it does everything I need.

Perhaps it has something to do with their renaming? No longer called Ovi Store, now simply Nokia Store.

4 months of it not working is ridiculous... You have to admit...!

Didn't know that they were renaming... Will keep my eye out.

I haven't got many paid items off Ovi but never had a problem with getting any of them.

Have you been in touch with the Nokia Careline either by phone or this page http://www.nokia.co.nz/support/ask-nokia

They may have to reset something on the back end.

Also make sure you have the latest firmware on your handset

Phone is always up to date... Ovi will update itself with a SW update - Correct? I dont actually have to uninstall and download a new one. Usually keep my phone pretty up to date...

I have called the Nokia careline 3 or 4 times now... But have always got the same responce "The Ovi store payment process is currently down for maintenence, we anticipate service being restored shortly".... I just dont beleive it and cant be bothered waiting another 10mins on hold to hear the same think... But will have a look a the link now. Thanks :)

What do you mean? - Thanks

The store is certainly working as I bought an application as recently as today (that one using WLAN though, not WiFi) and don't recall a problem at other times.

Ovi Store application version on my phone (N8, but I assume they are all the same) is 2.06.00042 in case you want to check yours.

For what it is worth, I have made 3 purchases in the last week on my Nokia X6, without problems. I recently had the Ovistore application on my phone do an update (automatically updated when I launched Ovistore on the phone a couple of weeks ago), and the version reads (using the application manager) as 1.09(8). (Same version for Ovistore client, and OviStore Launcher.)

I connect using the home WiFi (on Slingshot), and my Ovistore account already holds my credit card information, gained from a purchase I made some months ago, so I don't need to re-enter my credit card number each time I make a new purchase.

Hope this helps in some way :)

I've moved from Voda to 2degrees, and I generally download from Wifi.  No problems here with Ovi/Nokia Store on my 5800XM.

Like someonelse mentioned earlier just contact Nokia 0800 665421

I have also purchased from Ovi store (or what ever it is called now) recently, no issues it was thru WLAN rather than WIFI.

Great... After a 3 hour call from Nokia Careline it still doesnt work... The conclusion of the call was oh well see how it goes.. it might correct itself sometime in the next week. If it doesnt send us an email again and we will have another look into it.

Thanks Nokia for just wasting about 5/6 hours of my time and then not even solving the problem. The only other solution that they could come up with was for me to drive up to the carecentre in Auckland and personally explain the situation and have the phone checked. The careline operater did not think that it was questionable to get me to drive 5 hours there and then 5 hours back to drop it off to the carecentre. And then drive up again when the phone was ready. I thought this to be plain stupid so of course im not going to do it.

I did however appreciate the call from the careline... But the outcome was less than desirable.

Oh... And now after reloading the backup... None of the apps I had are on my phone. Im guessing that I am going to have to re-download all of the free apps... And just put up with not having any of the paid apps as I cant purchase them again...

You should find all your previous downloads, including the paid ones, available in the ovistore site once you log in. Just visit the "My Stuff" section. Re-downloading from the "My Stuff" section is free.

I wish Nokia knew how to fix this. After a 4 hour phone call with them, and then another 3 hour phone call... all that was acheived was loosing a heap of my data and the problem still being present.

With the anna update and my N8 working really well, it would be cool to have some of the paid apps... But that wont be happening.
