i've got a dopod 818pro (JAmin), and i setup MMS setting for it and tried to send one MMS, after that i saw one msg "MMS sent" then comes up another message too "inbox can't reconigize this MMS message", finally i could send all MMS but can't receive any MMS. does anyone know what's going on with my PDA? thanks!

Hi there... You asked for the Dopod configuration back in February 2006 (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=40&TopicId=6564), and back then you said it worked.

What's different now? What have you changed on your configuration?

actually at that time i setup the MMS and i could send out, but i didn't check with my friend if he could receive or not. this week my friend said that he would like to send me some PXT that i could have a look, then i start using PXT (since i setup from feb i never use PXT even once :P) so that i found that configuration works with my DOPOD 818pro, but just after get "MMS sent" then it said it can't regonize incoming message. so probably like last gentalmen said that my phone was imported, so it might not 100% fit to vodafone here.

Not a problem of being imported, the Dopod will work on MMS as any other - I have myself an imported Jasjar and use it all the time.

What you need to do, as suggested by johnr is insert your SIM card in another phone you are sure can send and receive (borrow your friend's) and send a MMS to yourself. If the message doesn't arrive, and you are sure the phone is ok, then call Vodafone and make sure they have your account registered as MMS capable.

Then try again on the borrowed phone, from yourself to yourself and if it arrives, transfer the SIM to your DOPOD and use it again.

hi, first thanks for every one here to help me. now i post the result after i test it, it's very strange.
1. i put my sim card into one K700(local vodafone) trying send PXT to myself. everything works fine, it could send and receive.
2. i put my sim back to 818pro, and put another sim into k700. then i try to send between these 2 phones. everything works fine. send and receive PXT very fast too. both 818pro --> k700 and k700 --> 818pro are good, i tried reply PXT as well.
3. the strange thing is that when i tried to send PXT from my 818pro to myself, it seems doesn't work, it shows PXT sent, but i couldn't receive. is any problem with this?
but i think that's very enough for me, nobody will send PXT to himself. haha..... thanks again.
