I'm having trouble connecting my new Palm TX to my home network via Wifi. The network has a BT internet ADSL connection to the web, with a BT Home Networking 1200 modem/router. I think the problem is something to do with DNS addresses, which I do not understand. The Palm connects to other wireless networks (eg a free WiFi network nearby) without any problem. Any suggestions. Should I be putting in specific IP addresses manually, or should they be assigned automatically. The browser on the Palm is Blazer.

Hmmm. A bit confusing. You say you want to connect via Wi-Fi, but have a Bluetooth access point? Care to check and then tell us exactly what you have?

Hey Kavalier, I'm guessing by BT router you mean British Telecom? If so make sure your router has allowed all MAC addresses to connect to your wifi network, and that you have the correct security settings on your TX so that the match your Wifi router, ie the TX and the router are both using WEP or alternatively WPA wireless encryption, and that you have the correct password entered for your wifi network. Though that is assuming you have wireless security enabled on your router.

Sorry for any confusion. BT stands for British Telecom (not bluetooth). Since posting my question, I have cracked the problem, just by experimenting with various IP and DNS addresses. The Palm TX connects beautifully, and I'm happy. Thanks for your help.
