Air New Zealand e-mails electronic tickets in .pdf format.  When I receive such tickets on my i-mate SP3 (WM SP 2003SE) ClearVue PDF version 2.41 produces as error message ('invalid format') and does not open the .pdf file, even though it appears to be completely downloaded to the 'phone.

Westtek informed me that: "The 'invalid format' message is displayed because your document is encrypted. ClearVue PDF version 2.41 does not support encrypted documents. You can check if a document is encrypted by opening the PDF document from the desktop and checking the 'Security' setting from 'File | Document Properties'. If the document is password protected or any [my emphasis] of the security options are listed as not allowed then the document is encrypted. We are planning support for encrypted PDF documents in a future release of ClearVue for the Smartphone scheduled for summer/fall 2006."

This issue does not appear to be mentioned in the Westtek FAQ. I do not believe it is what most users would understand by "encrypted". It cripples ClearVue PDF from my point-of-view since I often receive .pdf files (such as Air New Zealand electronic tickets) which for example have "Commenting" "Not Allowed". Is any other Smartphone user able to confirm this problem, re Air New Zealand electronic tickets?

Sorry, I don't use the Smartphones, but on the Windows Mobile Pocket PC I always install Adobe Acrobat Reader - even though it's a huge software I found it actually can read more files than ClearVue.

Let's see if someone with a Smartphone shows up here...

From OP (this thread was and is locked... i press unlock, but nothing happens???)

ClearVue have released an updated version 3.0.554 which seems to display Air NZ e-tickets satisfactorily on i-mate SP3 (WM SP 2003 Ozone update SE).

UPDATE: SUCCESS!!! - Unlocked now :-P
