For the second time of rebuilding my WM5 system, I have a situation where I can neither install anything new or remove and programs.  The window of installed apps is empty and I can't add/remove anything.

At first I thought that there was a system file that kept a log of these programs that was corrupted.  Now I think there is some type of security feature that keeps someone from changing the installed base of a device.

If anyone knows of a fix for this problem, please let me know here or at jschaffer@usa.net

Thanks

This sounds as a corrupt registry... What applications have you installed, and do you have any hack such as Tweaks2k2 or similar program that will alter the system information?

Ther's no setting on Windows Mobile 5 by default that would cause this. It must be some external intervention, through a program, or configuration file.
