My device stats are currently..
ROM version : 1.30.76 WWE
ROM date : 2/20/06
Radio version : 1.09.00
Protocol version : 42.42.P98
ExtROM version : 1.30.164 WWE



Question : So is there a new rom or a new Ext ROM ????

This page contains the Operating Systems for the i-mate™ JASJAR Vodafone New Zealand devices. Future releases of the software will be posted on this page for i-mate™ customers, so keep it bookmarked!

The following details the two part sequence required for updating the ROM on the i-mate™ JASJAR.

Latest Release details:

The main improvements from the original AKU 1 Operating System, 1.x.9.x, are:

Microsoft™ Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP):
Addition of the MSFP allowing Direct Push email, remote device wiping, security policy enforcement and Global Address List Lookup for customers using a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2.

Communication Manager:
Communication Manager has been updated to allow current data services to be stopped, Direct Push email to be started/stopped using a single button press, and flight mode to be switched on/off.


* Important note: upgrading your i-mate™ JASJAR will erase all data on it. Please backup your device before performing the upgrade. You can do this via Microsoft ActiveSync 4.1 ALSO please make sure that your device battery is fully charged before performing the upgrade and remove any memory cards from the SD card slot including the blank dummy SD card which is shipped with the device.

Step 1- ROM update –
    Step 1. Download file imateJJ_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship.zip by clicking here to your PC. Please make a note of where you have saved the file (your desktop is recommended).
    Step 3. Open the zip file and Run the file inside (imateJJ_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship.exe). Follow the on screen instructions. Once complete, your device will automatically restart.
    Step 4. Follow any further instructions provided on the screen of your i-mate™ JASJAR.
* Note – the next step adds the Vodafone New Zealand settings and customisation to your i-mate™ JASJAR.

    Step 3. Open the zip file and Run the file inside (Vodafone_NZ_Extended_Rom_V1.13.301.exe). Follow the on screen instructions. Once complete, your device will automatically restart.
    Step 4. Follow any further instructions provided on the screen of your i-mate™ JASJAR.

Hmmm. A new Ext ROM probably. But I wouldn't do anything, seeing this is just a minor release.

Yes I was wondering the same thing this am-never saw this on the club imate site before either.
Sounds like its best left.
Have to see what is pending ?? later in the year eh MF??
