Hi  I'm just got a K-Jam and muct be stupid, I with ActiveSync 4.1 and Windows Media Player 10 - I can't sync my music.  As in Windows Media Player on the PC doesn't recognise that I have a portable device.

Is there anything I should have need, need to do to help this along?

I never managed to do this through ActiveSync either. The best option was to install Windows Media Player 11 and use the synchronisation function from there.

well I tried it. But not being a person of the that uses a library based collection on a player, it didn't appeal. I don't want to sync music, but grab a random collection say 4 hours, play it, then go get some more.

So I ended up writing something to take a winamp playlist and copy it to a directory, then you copy it to a the phone.

I manage to find some code that may do the copy bit to the font automagically....so i will investigate that....no if only i could get me gprs and wlan working again I'd be happy.

I use Windows Media Player 11 exactly like that: there's a "fill" function, and it will randomly fill the memory card on your Pocket PC, and each time it will transfer different songs.

But if you wrote something, cool, that's geeky enough.

Hi

Where is your fill function?  I've only found that you have to set up an autoplaylist - is this what I should be doing?

Is WMP11 any good for syncing music to a flash memory card?
Can i use the same music library as itunes, or will this create problems?

Yes it is good for syncing to flash memory. Using the same library as itunes is not a problem. I am currently burning a cd in WMP11 with files from my itunes library. If only WMP11 could do ipods.....
