There have been some posts on this subject scattered in other Touchpad thread, but it’s difficult to keep track of the success or otherwise with the different options. Some possibilities are:

The official HP Touchpad case.

Some people have mentioned that the cover flap does not have magnets like in the iPad design, so might not reliably stay closed for protection.
The Incipio case… some feedback from the other thread suggests these were originally designed for the iPad and are a poor match for the Touchpad.
The Poetic Slimbook PU Leather case. There are some feedback comments on Amazon that PU Leather means it isn’t real Leather and the quality isn’t as good as hoped for.

Do Poetic offer more than one Touchpad case? Or is it the same case that I see sold under different names as I also see this Poetic HP Touchpad Stand case.

The Targus Truss case is another option – perhaps better protection than most of the other options, at the expense of a little more weight.

I don’t have the Touchstone charger, which I believe is an compatibility issue for some of these cases.
I’m sure there are other options. What did people get, where did they get it and what do people recommend?

I'm also considering screen protectors, but I'm wondering if these are really needed?

So far as I can tell Poetic do two different cases, the slimline and the adjustable.  The pictures I've seen certainly make it look as if there are two different Poetic cases.  I have some of the Poetic slimline PU leather cases on the way for myself and some other members of Geekzone which should arrive this week.

As for the quality I'll be able to give an opinion once they arrive.  The majority of the reviews indicated they were a good quality case for the price.

I don't think a screen protector is necessary.

Something to look out for is cases with metal parts on them such as magnetic snaps if you intend using them on the touchstone. Induction chargers+metal parts are not friends.
