Really unhappy today... Found out that all my Twitter contacts (almost 4,000 at the moment) were duplicated on my Windows Phone Mango.

Tried a manual synchronisation, all 8,000 contacts remained there. Removed the Twitter account, all 8,000 contacts remained there.

Not happy. Had to do a hard reset.

Bugger. I still haven't managed to get Twitter contacts working on the phone anyway

Not only that, but after the hard reset it create a new OneNote notebook and overwrites whatever you have on Skydrive, instead of asking if you want to sync.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. I lost stuff.

Very unhappy.

Also reinstalling apps is a pain... Plugged it to Zune, click Install, it says "already purchased" but doesn't give an option to reinstall. Go to www.windowsphone.com search for the apps, click reinstall and they send you an email with a link - you have to resintall from the Marketplace on the phone.

Why not use the Zune desktop application? Seriously, the experience is completely broken here.

Yeah that's the single weakest feature of WP7. No way to backup a phone's apps. Say what you want, the iOS backup system is bar setting.

I wonder if the bug that was mentioned pre No-do is what you are experiencing with mango as well.

i'm surprised that the phone image that zune does pre-update is not something you can trigger yourself. would be useful to have a point-in-time image of the phone that could be restored
