Since my Samsung Focus has been updated to Mango I am unable to sync with my mail on Telecoms Exchange Server account. I can see online that the phone has made a connection with the server.

When I try to sync with my phone I get the message " requires that certain security policies be enforced before you can sync your information". I have set a password on my device as required during the account setting up.

I have talked with the Telecom Business help line only to be told that because my phone (Samsung Focus) is not a Telecom sourced phone the settings may be different so they can't help.

It is my understanding that all Windows 7 Phones are the same regardless of make. Is anyone using Telecom Business mail on a phone with Mango?

I have done a couple of factory resets as well as checking and rechecking the settings. I can connect to Microsoft 365 exchange server without a problem.

The source of the handset shouldn't really be of any importance in this case.

As asked, is this an Exchange 2003 server?

Sorry I have been so annoyed with this that I have deleted the account on my phone and now when I try to setup the account again I can't get my password to be recognised. (I have done this a number of times)
The version of Excahnge Server is Mailbox server Microsoft Exchange version:
Earlier I was receiving an error message 80072F0D but I have fixed this and not seen it again. I have not been getting an error code only the message about webmail requires that certain security policies be enforced before you can sync your information and to contact a support person or service provider. I have even tried to roll back my phone but this has failed. The backup is still on my disk so not sure why.

It will be an exchange server security policy setting that will need to be looked into by the IT admin that manages that server. The fact that Office 365 syncs fine proves that there is nothing wrong with the phone's software itself. Mango has most likely added extra security measures in the email department or may be it's the way the business hub exchange server see's the device after mango has been loaded. The issue can be fixed but it's all from businesshub's end where they would need to look at their security policy settings.

80072F0D is a server security certficate error. I have been running Samsung focus running mango on XT with my work Exchange 2010 emails being pushed without any issues.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Thank you very much for confirming what I thought. Now I need to convince Telecom that the problem is at their end. I don't hold out much hope.
Would it be out of place for me to ask if I could send you my deatils and you tried to setup an email sync on your Focus for my account? I don't know anyone else with a Windows 7 Phone running Mango that I can try.

Businesshub help line was to look into this and get back to me within a half hour, that was on Friday and still no response. Have decided to go for the standard option of syncing outlook with windows live then to my phone. Not the reason for signing up with telecom business mail with Exchange server but life is never as simple as we would like. Still really like my Focus and getting used to Win Phone 7.5. Glad I found geekzone.
