Hi

I've been looking thru this forum thread:

(now closed)

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=17&TopicId=8728

And on it, Kezzainc mentioned he/she is getting a new keypad CABLE

Well, I have an otherwise working SP3i (just replaced with a SP5) on which SOME of the keys dont work too well - usually the */T9, space/0 and hang up. I think all I need is a new set og buttons (ie, the plastic bit on the top)

anyone knoe where to get one of these? I'd love to fix this and either pass it onto a friend, or something. The phone works really well aside from that.

Ta

N (off to get an T5 screwdriver tomorrow or on the weekend :) )

Sad to hear someone else is having the same problems...  Seems to be quite common.

I've had no joy yet.  I ordered one from EBay over a month ago and nothing has turned up.  Jibbed.  Hasn't been finshed yet...

I was on the wrong track at the start....  We need to be looking for a RIBBON.  It has both Joystick and Keypad.

Maybe we can join up and order a couple together?   I've just been using "Nine Way Keyboard" in the mean time as my joystick is at fault.

DSE has a BIG kit with the Bit you need.  Or J-Car in their Cell repair Kit.  :)

Well, I have an SP5 now....

If you wanted to buy the SP3i off me - aside from the keyboard "*" not working tooooo well (it does work, jus tnot well) and a little "damage" on the edges where I tried to get the case open, it works fine.
