Hello,

I think you all now the menu navigation that is implemented in WM 5.0 smartphones - When you can click the number corresponding to the menu item to select it (and not scroll all the way up or down with joystick). For some reason, my QTek 8310 started to show letters instead of numbers (that correspond menu items). And now it doesn't accept that kind of input in menus, so I have to scroll through the menus. It only works in the Start menu now.
Can anybody help me to get the numerated menus back?

Thanks.
Oleksandr Paraska..

Could it be that the phone is not in numeric mode, or similar problem? If you press * and keep it pressed it should cycle through T9 input options, one of which is a numeric option.

Hi,

It really looks something like that, but I have no idea how to change it back to numeric mode. I've tryed what you've suggested, but it didn't change anuthing. For example when I go to Start menu I can still press "9" for Settings menu. But in the settings menu I see this:

A Phone
B Sounds
C Profiles
D Home Screen
E Clock & Alarm
etc....

and before it was:

1 Phone
2 Sounds
3 Profiles
4 Home Screen
5 Clock & Alarm
etc.

I want the second view back! :)

What should I do for that?

Thanksa lot.

You could try toggling the menu between icon and list, to see if it resets the items. Under Menu>More>Accessories there is a button/text stating Icon or List View. Hit this and you will get the numbers of icons back.

Hi,

All I have in the Start->More->Accesories is:

Calculator,Clear Storage, Dowload Agent, Modem Link. I don't think any of these is what you're reffering to, is it?

Maybe you're reffering to Pocket PC WM, and it's Smartphone edition in my case.

Thanks.

Nope, it's on Windows Mobile Smartphone. Check other menus in Settings though.

Someone suggested you should look at this Start replacement: http://homepages.inspire.net.nz/~gambit/AbstractStart/

I know what that program is..I did not install it, but I'm sure it's not what I need. The start menu is the only one that os ok with numbers input..

Anyway...I've solved it in an ole cool way..I've returned the Windows to manufacturer defaults. Not it's ok. But I stil would really love to know how can I change it in another way...Sure this one is too brutal...

Thanks
