I have two accounts on my E7 a work one and my private Xtra one.  The work address which is handled by Windows Live sends and receives Ok but the Xtra account will receive OK but for the last week any mail sent from the phone on the Xtra account gets stuck in the outbox. When you try to open the email you get amessage that you cannot open while it is being sent, trouble is it never gets sent.

I suspect it might be corrupt email account settings, how do you get in to check and reset these?

Thanks for the reply.  The link you posted goes to a page that no longer exists. Do you have a link to any other info like this?  The Telecom page that eventually displays doesn't appear to have a link to any email set up info.

I don't know what the outgoing settings are.  When I set the account up on my phone it was set up automatically through the email client on the phone.  All I had to do was enter my email account name and password.  I cannot find any email account settings on the phone that I can check or change.

Before I can check any settings I need to find where they are to start with.  I'll keep looking around.

Going back to basics, what connectivity are you using on the phone? Is this a 3G connection, and if so what carrier? If it's WiFi who is your ISP?

The last three that have failed were using WiFi though I've been successful before on WiFi.  The ISP is Xtra.

The problem resolved itself after I deleted the emails that were stuck in the outbox.

I still haven't been able to figure out how/why they became stuck.  The annoying thing is I wasn't able to access the content of the emails prior to deletion.  When I tried to access them I got a message saying something like unable to access as email in process of being sent. Frown

Anyway it's all working now.
